An oak tree has leaves turning brown in autumn. This is the largest oak up in the mountains of southern New Mexico at 9,400 feet, and it's only a large bush. (Down on the basin floor they grow much taller.)

Pine needles turning yellow. The tree is healthy. It's merely shedding the oldest needles that are far from the tips of the branches.

A colorful, confusing bundle of wires, cables, and tubes run up both sides of the glider fuselage, converge, then continue up into the bottom of the instrument panel. Rudder pedals are visible as gray structures made from tubes. A piece of black plastic spiral wrap lays across the bundle. The spiral wrap will be used to organize and protect the bundle.
