I keep seeing some variation of "No Kings Day? Did they forget about JESUS?" but the absolute worst take I've seen is "Why didn't they call it No Presidents Day if they're so mad about the president?"

So while it's very funny that Trump's EO defining gender as what you are at conception inadvertently categorized everyone as women, it's 100% phrased that way as justification for "life begins at conception" anti-abortion arguments, right?

This is such a wild thing to say when the role of trans people in politics lately has been attacks against us on one side and half-hearted support on the other. We don't play an outsized role in politics. We're a marginalized group whose rights are in need of protection
With utter respect: I am in full support of trans folks; delighted they are about and out, to be honest. But, 1.36% of people have been playing an out-sized role in Democratic politics at the expense of some very very important, other foci. Can this be agreed upon?
