Just gotta say the last decade raising kids have been…yeah. Especially the last year. People aged 14-18 need mentorship and pathways to their future. But the main thing they need is security. Not hope. Not direction. They need security. (And love!)

Whoa! The shutdown’s ripple effect starting to hit.

Burbank Airport in LA County has no air traffic controllers on duty due to sick calls, last-minute day-off requests, and staffing shortages.

If you’re flying anywhere in the country, check for delays.

The staffing triggers at facilities have already been occurring. It’s not going to be unsafe. It’s gonna put the airlines so far underwater in delays they will start having to proactively cancel flights.

And, yes, EAS has been, and always will be, a mess unless it gets completely overhauled. Also, the mis-match between spending on infrastructure at airports that provide EAS and the money going to the operators is a big problem.
