‼️ These Republican senators from NC are behind SB227. Under this bill, teachers could be punished for acknowledging systemic racism or even leading discussions about true, factual events that occurred in American history.

Guess what? Nursing home care is paid by Medicaid. Once someone’s assets run dry, and they will, Medicaid covers the cost of nursing home care. If Medicaid is cut, those care recipients will be displaced. In some states, family members (if there are any) are then legally responsible for the care.

WYDEN: Do you believe in a nursing home there should be a registered nurse available around the clock?

DR OZ: As you know, that's a complicated question

WYDEN: No it's not. We need a nurse in a nursing home. Not too complicated.

My son has Medicaid, thankfully, for now. I am his only parent, have a college degree, and work full time in aging services for local government. I have health insurance through my employer with a high deductible. For profit healthcare is the cruelest policy Americans accept as normal. It’s not.
