I’d agree except for all of the erasure of the queer subtext in those stories, the reason the first one was written, and ACD’s defence of gay men using his professional skills throughout his career.

I know they won’t do it, but I would love it if season 2 of The Night Manager had Lady Langbourne leave her cheating shit of a disgraced, now-penniless husband for Jonathan.
