Today I'm giving students 3 "sample essays" and they need to identify the strengths/weaknesses. Then we will talk about which essay is probably in the "A" range, which "B" range, and which "C" range for a given prompt. I am hoping that they will identify the features that make an essay stronger.

This was a great communicative activity. Simple but fun. Students said one thing they are doing this weekend. The other students had to (1) listen and then (2) be "nosy" and ask follow-up questions to pump them for additional details. #teachgerman #langchat #communicative

The Schulmuseum in Leipzig has model classrooms representing different eras of German history: Kaiserreich, Nazi era, GDR. Fascinating exhibits and objects showing the history of schooling through the years.
