Thank you for this. Makes sense. I’ve lived with people in active addiction and only got some detachment, perspective, personal freedom back once I stopped trying to say/do THE right thing to stop them or justify myself or broadcast my intentions. Feels very parallel.

If Bluesky is trying to be self deprecating then make fun of something that’s still really not working on Bluesky—lack of privacy or editing options could be funny.

What works for people about this meme? Seems ageist and, even when I pretend to accept the ageist lens, not evocative.

For me finding, reading about, and engaging in optimistic occasions and actions counters my tendency for escapism and denial.

So glad I watched this. It makes sense that his fear of losing face drives his aggression—and that it’s hard to be so afraid and simultaneously strategic even about his own best interests. We can see and work to counter damage without sharing his delusion that he has all the power. Thx for sharing!
