Idk if I agree with that. I think part of sharing work is knowing that it no longer belongs to you. So if someone started acting crazy outside of my intent, it’s probably because they don’t have a normal relationship with fiction, which isn’t something I can control as an author

I love the idea of an unreliable narrator, perhaps even one that is reality compromised. I’d love to use that device in my own work when I’m not just mastering basics.
