Here is my two cents as someone with chronic health issues.

Do not hold back complaining. You are not strong by holding back on communicating the pain you are experiencing—advocating for yourself—aka complaining a lot is sometimes the only way to get the treatment you need.

When Michael Jordan felt boxed in by his success in basketball he tried baseball. When Gary Brooks became synonymous with country he created Chris Gaines. And when JK Rowling created the most successful kids books of all time she reinvented herself as a petty, weirdo transphobia influencer.

Your Prime Day reminder that half of Amazon warehouse workers struggle with food & housing costs.

A third have had to rely on government assistance like SNAP — which is about to get cut.

If Bezos can spend $50M on a wedding, Amazon can afford to treat its workers with dignity.

So, I think it's time I begin, in detailed specifics, talking about the mess that is Unbound / Boundless as a book publisher, in essence stealing most of a years royalties from me and many other authors, as a result of poor financial decisions, and legal BS.

Please read and share this thread.

Incel logic is a funny thing. Instead of demanding women lower their standards they could just…work on themselves

I was doing really well with writing but I kind of fell off this month. I’ve dealt with a lot of setbacks and selfish people this year and it’s left me feeling very down. I guess it’s good that I have some time to reflect and move past it

Don’t judge or criticize someone under the age of 25 too harshly. It’s like critiquing a rough draft

My biggest struggle with craft books is application. Knowledge is great and everything but if you don’t know how to use the knowledge to improve your stories, it’s not very helpful.

Whenever I see someone mention sleeping outside on a clear warm summer day all I can think of are the bugs and mosquitoes

I also wrote about 35 pages in March! Yay for consistency! #WIP #wordcount #writingaccountability
I just calculated the word count for my current book. It’s 16,399 words = ~65.5 pages. My goal was 28 pages for February and I wrote 35!! #WIP #wordcount #writingaccountability

I don't necessarily think you need to write every day, but I think it's important when working on something long-form to establish a consistent schedule. Because for me, I don't want there to be a | random | vibe | switch in the middle. #WIP #AmWriting #WritingAccountability
