I don’t remember which social media platform I was on when I asked, but I was searching for a modern day #clarinet hero, along the lines of Pete Fountain or Benny Goodman. Someone pointed me toward Evan Christopher. Again, I don’t recall who made the referral, but I am forever in that person’s debt.

Some folks seem to think that songwriting is easy, but for me, it can be an arduous process. Songs seldom (okay, never) arrive in their final form. I never want to rewrite the life out of a lyric, but the more I go through them, the greater the chances are that I can find improvements to make.
