The Geneva Conventions and the U.S. DOD Law of War Manual explicitly prohibit killing shipwreck survivors.

That’s not a political issue, it’s a war crime. And when an administration does exactly what its own Secretary of Defense said it planned to do months ago, accountability isn’t optional.
As a combat veteran, I never thought I’d hear an American leader brag about throwing out the rules of engagement. 🤯

Calling for maximum lethality is a green light for war crimes and will put our own troops in harm’s way. This isn't strength, it's reckless.

Hegseth: 'Defense' is out, 'killing people and breaking things' is in
There were no "firings" or "loyalty oaths" but what Secretary of Defense (War) Pete Hegseth called a "liberation" for "America's warriors" as he spoke to more than 800 generals and admirals brought in...

Wishing you a peaceful Thanksgiving today. I hope this holiday gives us all a chance to set our differences aside and find gratitude for the people and moments we too often take for granted. There’s far more that unites us than divides us.

From my family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving.

Criminals are impersonating ICE to rob and abduct people. When real ICE also hides faces and IDs, how can anyone know who’s legitimate?

Nothing is more un-American than masked men taking people from their homes. If the Trump administration won’t act, Kentucky should.

FBI Warns of Criminals Posing as ICE, Urges Agents to ID Themselves
In a bulletin to law enforcement agencies, the FBI said criminal impersonators are exploiting ICE’s image and urged nationwide coordination to distinguish real operations from fakes.

Death threats spiked right after the President called lawmakers “seditious.” We know what happens when he targets someone. This isn’t normal, and it’s coming from the top.

I’m introducing a resolution in January to confront this dangerous rhetoric head-on.

I’m excited to share that I’ve officially filed for re-election! Proud of what we accomplished in year one—from founding the Veterans Caucus to passing bipartisan legislation lowering medication costs. Ready to keep working for our community next year and beyond.

Full statement in the graphic.

Spent my Sunday knocking doors with a fantastic team, including two brand-new volunteers! We won this seat by just 172 votes, so I never take this work for granted. Hearing directly from neighbors helps me serve you better in Frankfort. We’ll be back out after session, see you in the spring!

KY hospitals warn that Trump and Congress’s Medicaid cuts could force them to stop offering cancer treatment just to stay open.

In the state with the highest cancer rate, this is a looming crisis. I'll keep fighting to protect Kentuckians' access to healthcare

Grateful to the KY Chamber for inviting me to join today’s Energy & Technology Panel at their 2026 Legislative Preview.

I was proud to speak about my Ratepayer Protection Act and why Kentucky needs an all-of-the-above energy strategy that keeps politics out and puts people first.
November 10, 2025 at 5:23 PM
Packed house today, and the energy was incredible. Kentuckians are ready for leaders who put people over politics and fight for policies that lift everyone up instead of holding others down.

Join me today to flip the 6th!

We deserve a representative who will fight to keep our hospitals open and our children fed - who prioritize wages and workers, not billionaires and ballrooms. And unlike Rep. Barr, will pursue justice by releasing the Epstein files.

Voters sent a message last night: they’re tired of struggling while politicians fight culture wars.

I’m focused on making life actually affordable—lowering drug costs, keeping utilities fair, and expanding housing and pre-K.

Kentuckians deserve leaders who fight for you, not billionaires.
