Just to hammer this in:

I don't know of an example in US history of comparable *in-person humiliation* for a US president. And of course for the country.

Trump will soon realize how visibly he was "owned." In view of the whole world.
Q for those w experience in politics or diplomacy:

Is there *any* other example of a US prez, on US soil, letting a foreign leader control the mic for a very long time, in his own language, w/o consecutive translation, before letting US prez say anything all?

I don't know of any.

Humiliating.

An unelected South African has taken control of the US Treasury and is deciding to stop payments on American obligations, in violation of numerous court orders, and admits in the Oval Office that he has done so upon incorrect information, while the President sits impotently behind the Resolute Desk.
Reporter: You said an example of fraud that you have cited was $50 million of condoms was sent to Gaza but after a fact-check apparently it was Gaza in Mozambique meant to protect them against HIV.

Musk: First of all, some of the things I say will be incorrect

LMAO the Village People's "YMCA" performance at Trump's inaugural ball went so far off the rails the band basically had to stop playing

Smart piece here, good food for thought post election now that we’ve had some time to digest the results (and wait for them to actually materialize).

Even when things are tough for your team, there is some solace in knowing it could be worse. The Jets remain the Jets

The Jets have been eliminated from playoff contention following their overtime loss to the Dolphins.

This is their 14th consecutive season missing the playoffs, extending the longest active playoff drought across the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, and WNBA.

The final House results have now landed as 220-215 for the GOP. That means the House majority came down to the 3 NC seats the GOP flipped thanks to its brand new gerrymander.

And that gerrymander hinged on NC's supreme court flipping in 2022.

Slop…and it really does start with Mayo. Not at all convinced this staff deserves a second year, though I’m sure they’ll get one. It’s concerning, and realistically probably time to start considering pairing Drake Maye with an offensive mind like Ben Johnson, Slowik or Kubiak
The 13 flags thrown on the Patriots today were the second-most against the team in a game this year. They had 14 flags in the first game against Miami in Week 5.

Oh my god haha … #RedZone is popping off right now. #NFL Magic right now bouncing between these games. Dallas return TD, 86-yd miracle TD from McLaurin, missed extra pt to lose. Bears recover onside kick and kick FG to force overtime, Panthers tie Chiefs late, Chiefs gw FG 🤯

Interesting thread 🧵
Post-1960s liberalism has a “Morning Joe” problem, an ideological commitment to bipartisanship rooted in the belief that politics is better when it balances Republican and Democratic ideas and values. So you have a Gingrich Republican hosting MSNBC’s flagship morning show, for instance.

Always think this when I’m in the airport and it’s jammed. Hear a lot about how the economy is on fire from people driving $70k trucks who probably had nice raises over the last few years. As an employer, yes prices are up, but so is my payroll…a lot.
How are all these unfortunate people suffering from this "horrible" economy affording to fly at record rates and filling restaurants constantly? But milk costs are high....so horrible.
