Also seeing the president up there giving false and misleading medical advice so casually is so offensive to me as a physician. When we say we have dedicated our lives to this its not bravado, but hours of books and face time with patients that creates real expertise. #presidentsnakeoil

Did we all take organic chemistry & the MCAT & miss the social part of our early 20’s and work 80 hours a week for 3+ years for the brain worm guy who doesn’t know what a p-value is to destroy our nation’s public health system? No.
Time to lean into our expertise and speak up.

According to the NYT piece, the federal agents in Mcarthur park shut down a street medicine team providing care to the unsheltered individuals in the area. This on the heels of the Medicaid cuts in the BBB which will drastically impact those of us doing street medicine to keep our programs going

The richest family in the United States, the Waltons, made money by not paying Walmart employees enough. This forced employees to seek government assistance for food and healthcare.
Republicans’ response is to take away that assistance because the Waltons aren’t rich enough.

Dismantling these departments that warn us about the weather is in Project 2025, and the core reason is they say these departments (RIGHTLY) drive “climate chang alarmism”, which “is harmful to future prosperity” (aka BIG OIL PROFITS)
