After checking Wikipedia (I’m very new to most of knitting, especially the terminology) I think I’m just alternating stockinette and reverse stockinette if that makes any more sense.

After checking Wikipedia (I’m very new to most of knitting, especially the terminology) I think I’m just alternating stockinette and reverse stockinette if that makes any more sense.
I hope I can explain: I start with stockinette, and then when I feel I’ve reached a nice length for a stripe, I do two rows of the same stitch type in a row before returning to the basic knit-purl pattern again.
