Before I continue my hiatus, I should mention I accidentally enrolled in the next course right after finishing my final. I'll probably be done with that in about a month-ish and be firmly in A1, close to A2 based on how it's going so far. After that, I need a break.
Oh, I should probably change the part of my bio that says I have an A0 proficiency in Cherokee, because I passed the Cherokee course I was taking. 90%, so probably closer to A1

I think I'm going to take a break from the skies of blue. If I don't say anything else after 2-3 weeks, I either enjoyed touching grass too much to go back or something bad happened to me.

Things have gotten so crazy with social media that I wonder if it's worth to even mention what I'm doing or if I should just make dedicated brand accounts. I worry the technical issue with Bluesky did me a favour.

I'm apparently old enough that there's a modern bubblegum pop version of a pop song that was E V E R Y W H E R E when I was just about old enough to form memories that is likely more well known than the original.

Is it ironic to get on Bluesky one last time before crashing to tell people to unironically remember to occasionally touch grass? Vitamin D is a hell of a drug and it gives you time to step back and think through what's going on with the world.

One of the weirdest parts of being in BC is being in a place with the same amount of population as the entire county in the most rural place I've ever lived in the States and having my closest encounter with a deer ever in the former. I was within less than two metres.

I broke the rule I gave myself for avoiding talking about social politics on this account because it's such a shitshow and I wanted to have this account so employers and governments know I exist and am a real person. I did it because asking for consistency is partisan now, I guess.

barring any last-minute issues suddenly rearing their heads tomorrow, I'm setting up a new account and then dropping BMO like a sack of rocks. Good riddance, didn't even last two months.
So after screwing over a friend of mine during a domestic dispute, closing my account less than 30 days in because of THEIR screwup, and somehow reacting even worse than Chase did because I dared to need to manage my bank from another country, I am officially done with #BMOHarris

For the first time in my life, traffic was heavy as a cyclist, but I was FAR from the only cyclist on the road. Generally a sign that your bike infrastructure is good. Now, if only I could get acclimated enough to hilly terrain again to keep up with the locals.

Kids, if you're making a retro aesthetic game and you don't absolutely need to make your lighting dynamic, bake your lighting. I need to test further, but just that seems to have brought 5x performance improvements to a test project.

Until very recently, I thought it was absolutely batshit that the US and Canada use the exact same international code but that it's so difficult to use the exact same system about a hundred kilometres north if where I was in the States.
