My beautiful rainbow panel skirt has had the best review. Wore it for the first time to see sister and her kids. They ran up to me to say hi, saw the skirt, and with little toddler noises of awe and wonder, BOTH of them grabbed it with two sticky little fists each, and wiped their noses on it.

I keep up to date with US politics despite not being from the States for two reasons: 1. A lot of people I follow are from the US and talk about how policy affects lives, and international solidarity is important. 2. US discourse, particularly right wing, travels.

Thinking about how 'forbidden fruit' is assumed to be an apple because of European passion plays, performed in the winter when the only fruit available were apples, and how the apple has stayed a genuinely magical fruit despite this (used in wassailing, divination etc). Apples are great.
