Donald Trump just drove a stake through Alberta's pipeline dreams. How long will it take for the Canadian oil and gas executives who supported him to realize they got Trumped?

Donald Trump just killed Alberta's pipeline dreams
Albertans love to accuse Justin Trudeau of trying to cripple their oil and gas industry. Now, Donald Trump might actually end up doing it — by accident.

Conservatives have been dining out on this spurious correlation for a decade.

Canada dodged a bullet when Scheer became an also-ran for PM. The man's blindness to the truth when it interferes his ideology is truly beyond parallel. Intentional lying is never "beyond acceptable" for this American citizen.

Seeing Trump's dismantling of Free Trade leads me to reminisce about David Orchard and his strong objection to the Free Trade deal with the US. This is exactly the kind of economic independence the FTA killed. Trump may end up being the correction Canada needed.

If you're wondering how bad misinformation and disinformation in Canada is, The Premiers cut health care, blamed it on the feds, and got away with lying about it.
Canada's Premiers Cut Health Care then Ran a Nationwide Campaign to Blame the Feds Instead. The Scam Worked.

Jason Kenney ultimately got toppled by his own party's base because he took some tepid steps, belatedly, on COVID-19.

Based on the crowd reaction at the UCP convention this weekend, Danielle Smith might get turfed because she tried to co-operate, however reluctantly, with Ottawa.

This one historical fact is the most misunderstood event in 🇨🇦.
I am a pragmatist about energy and development, but the entire line that the federal government is to blame for the 2014 oil price crash which was a deliberate act of financial warfare aimed at North American shale producers. Prices dropped 70% in 2 years.

There’s lots that’s wrong with this MOU, but the biggest problem is that it’s based on a completely false telling of history since 2010.
Carney and Smth keep repeating conservative spin that ignores the single biggest oil crash in history in 2014, which in Canada you would think had never happened
Canada and Alberta are focused on what we can control: building a stronger, more sustainable, more competitive, and more independent economy together.
