May have awakened some dormant baggage from my school days

I just stood over the trash can for fifteen minutes whittling wooden sticks with a razor blade like it's 1602 again.

Cyberfunk*. Learn it, autocorrect.

I also think it's fine for a game to just be a pretty easy power fantasy. That's one flavor that I sometimes get the craving for in between my bouts of masochism. I've been playing Arkham alongside Okami, and these two games are largely the same thing.

It's also cool how they managed to translate the Metroid formula into a 3D game open world sandbox game— something Metroid itself is only doing now, and with apparently a much emptier world (which for the record I don't think is inherently bad).

I think I just got inundated with enough cool Batman stuff at a young age and now I'm an unrepentant sucker for him. (Castlevania also has this grip on me.) These games are really thorough Batman job simulators that got the funding they needed to pretty much leave no stone unturned.

These corny jokes are making me... TESTY

Took another practice test today and scored almost identically, but somehow finished the first section like 40 minutes quicker. I don't understand exactly how they score these things, but I...think I'll pass?

I've always found this PC very mysterious. The specs are decent, but it never seems to perform the same way twice. It's like a temperamental pet.

That's the thing though! I checked my power settings so many times! It was on every troubleshooting checklist I found.

Holy crap, why did this work so well?? I played through like a third of Arkham Origins at sub-30 fps and now it's running like buttered gravy! In a good way!

Trying to treat this like just a mile marker with no stakes, but I have to admit, if I fail it'll probably wound me. I passed sixteen years ago, and in theory I've learned a buttload since. But I've also killed an awful lot of braincells...

Convenient that the only place that stayed open on this snow day is also the best place.

VP is really really cool. It's lenient enough that you don't really have to master all its weird systems, but on the other hand, the criteria for getting the best ending are so obscure that I don't know how anyone could figure it out organically.
