This #mare has an almost psychic sense of her surroundings. I just can’t get enough of all her ears are taking in for her eyes. Janelle thinks Majesty CAN see something in the light. Even if just shadows, it will help her learn her new world with less fear.

To me, these are sacred beings, who deserve the best of everything. We intend to give Majesty all that she deserves: a future with security, care, comfort, the best food, fresh water, the sense of freedom she lost when she was rounded up, and of course her devoted, brave, little daughter forever.

Interesting aspect of this one: Trump had argued his decisions on the Guard were effectively unreviewable by the courts. Apparently, SCOTUS isn’t quite ready to put itself completely out of business.

Over at the new ranch in Santa Ynez, the winds have been incredibly strong already and took down some of our 3 sided shelters and fencing. But the horses are safe and well in the main barn, blanketed, snug as bugs, hunkered down in thick shavings with extra hay.

A new band of rescued #wildhorses. Noya, whom we now call Nova, was brought out of the barn to meet some other #mares: Wren, Lacey & Blossom. The introduction went beautifully and the new friends ran with delight. Lacey is protective of her #filly, Blossom, but felt no threat from Nova.

Commodore & Valor are the last 2 additions to Wild Boy’s band before winter. A beautiful reunion with other #wildhorses from the #SouthSteens in #OR. Shortly after this, they were both looking around in awe, the wind in their manes. Their freedom has been restored on territory near their homeland.
