Could the outro for Ep 8 be the start of the coup to kind of bookend the start and end of the season with a Tower fight. So most of the ep will be the Aiel/Tanchico and then once that's all wrapped up we go to the Tower and bam - coup

Do we know who shot Alanna (and Daise) with the arrows? Could it have been Slayer/Luc? Hiding in the tree line. He was suspiciously absent during the fighting (or I just didn't see him)

Spoiler-Free Basic Timeline Age of Legends (Golden Era) • A utopia of magic and science where men and women channel in harmony. • The previous incarnation of Rand, Lews Therin (later called the Dragon), and Mierin (later Lanfear) are in a relationship. • They break up. • Mierin seeks a new, unrestricted source of power usable by all. The Collapse & War of Power Begins • Mierin's experiment drills the Bore, unleashing the Dark One. • Her laboratory explodes, causing mass devastation. • The Dark One's influence spreads; the Forsaken turn to evil. • Civil war erupts between Light and Shadow. • Technology and infrastructure collapse due to war. • The Dark One is sealed, but the male half of the One Power is corrupted. The Breaking of the World (Centuries of Chaos) • Male channelers go mad and destroy civilization over time. • Continual fighting, culling, and destruction revert society to pre-industrial levels. • The peaceful Aiel leave for Rhuidean, protecting a magic-enhancing artifact for Aes Sedai leader Latra. • As male channelers continue to rampage, most are eventually killed or die off. Rise of the Warrior Aiel & Rhuidean • Some Aiel refuse to protect Rhuidean but remain peaceful-they become the Tinkers. • An Aiel ancestor kills for the first time, creating the warrior Aiel. • Warriors now protect the remaining peaceful Aiel. • Rhuidean is built but never fully completed. • The last peaceful Aiel either die off or leave. • The warrior Aiel begin fighting each other and stop guarding Rhuidean. • Latra summons them back, sets up trials, and warns them to return or perish.

I made a super simplified version of the Aiel history. In case anyone is a bit confused after episode 4 of #thewheeloftime #wotskies
Da'shain Aiel come from the Age of Legends and promises to carry the Chora Trees and Objects of the One Power and practice the Way of the Leaf. Jonai (old man in Rand's fourth vision) comes from their line. His party splits after the massacre and eventually leave their oath to transport the goods. They become the Tuatha'an. From Jonai's line comes Lewin (Vision 3) Lewin breaks his oath of non violence and his descendants became the Modern Day Aiel. Lewin's group who continues their mission eventually become the Jenn Aiel and succeed. They broke no oaths but eventually die out and become extinct.
