Just want to clarify on a personal note: While I hold negative sympathy for the death of the UHC CEO, I also get the ick from glorifying murder in general.

I just find murder-mystery/conspiracy theory stuff entertaining, and this situation is FULL of entertaining theories, however macabre.

It might be getting a little better as time goes on, but not enough. The general fear still remains.

But WOW that was such a mind-blowing realization for me. To be able to be able to live in such mental bliss... incredible. /🧵

I explained why I put in the effort. He understood.

I am aware of how unrealistic my anxiety toward that specific/minor situation may have been. Realistic or not: The issue runs deep enough in our society that I & the majority of other women are burdened with this anxiety to some degree.

Before we left, my bf asked me: "You really put on makeup and all that for a quick grocery run?"

And it dawned on me: this man has NOT ONCE had to deal with the anxiety of *potentially* not being taken seriously in a situation due to his gender. The concept has literally never crossed his mind.

I wanted to make it a quick trip, so I knew I'd be asking an associate to help us find the exact bulb # since I'm not in there often enough to know the store's layout. Apprehensions of that brief social interaction kicking in, I slapped on some light makeup & put on "real" clothes before we left.

I'm not sure how it works on the business end of things when cell SPs to decide which games get priority to auto-install like this, but I'm sure there has to be some kind of financial incentive for them to do so (likely from the games' developers, I would imagine). Just speculation tho.

Bloatware typically just describes useless add-on installs in general. In this case it's random games that get installed at the same time phones perform a security update. Non-malicious, just annoying, and under the guise of "app discovery."

Your post is the first I've seen in my feed mentioning error messages today, if that's any sort of meaningful indicator 😅

Disturbing that cat by any means would be considered a felony against felines-- one of the worst, at that.

You have two options.
Option A: Hold it until the cat decides you are no longer worthy of its presence.
Option B: Die, I guess.

(Don't actually die but fr what else are you gonna do here)

Haven't had to play a single instance of whack-a-mole with garbage game apps the morning after a security update ever since. 👍 10/10 would recommend.

Relatable. I try to avoid small talk whenever possible (e.g. bailing on Xmas plans w/distant relatives this year because... no thanks lol)

When unavoidable: people love talking about themselves. Asking generic questions about them/their life usually works well to keep small talk convos afloat.

Too relatable.

However, we've slowly transitioned to glass container sets w/color-coded lids by size over the last few years. Reduced our overall set qty too. Meal prep has been a breeze, and mismatched/missing lids are no longer an issue. 🙌

Now if only I could find a similar solution for socks...

Seems like it could be an easy meal prep the night before to keep in the fridge too. I'll have to give this a try; thank you!
