That said, it's entirely possible that it is still Jonathan Bailey, but the weirdness could've been caused by different recording equipment, him being sick, etc. Given that he was also filming Wicked Part 2, I wouldn't be too surprised if he wore out his voice.

We don't actually know what is going on. While it would be nice to get some transparency from SE on whether he was replaced as the VA, I'm not sure we'll get confirmation until after they release the post patch credits after 7.55. So we'll be waiting a while.

He's an amazing villain with a sympathetic/tragic backstory and he genuinely is my favorite character. But he's still a villain who outright states that he doesn't consider any of us to be alive, so he doesn't value our existence.

Emet not only is That Guy ™ (you know, the one who's always inserting his opinions when literally no one asked), but he's also, ya know, an advocate of genocide and responsible for the deaths of millions if not billions of people.

That isn't to say I hate Emet-Selch. Far from it. (Seriously, ask anyone from my Sunday Crew and they'll all testify that his nickname is "Rhea's murder husband".)

But playing through Shadowbringers multiple times lets me see him for what he is.

I've played through these quests at least three times at this point (currently doing it a fourth time) and I still find myself tearing up. Renda-Rae's story in particular always gets me.

It's just wild to me because the NA servers are a huge chunk of their paying customers. Why wouldn't you invest the money into making sure the servers for such a large player base are properly protected from these kinds of attacks?
