I don't often have an immediate emotional reaction to media (because my brain is busy processing everything and this is why I play through things multiple times so I can fully get the emotional impact).
But the end of patch 5.3: Reflections in Crystal had me bawling for a good half hour after.

I'll be the first to admit that I don't know anything about large scale MMO servers and protecting them from DDOS attacks. But I can't shake the feeling that Square could be doing *something* to combat the constant attacks on the NA servers.

While ReBoot isn't lost media by any means, the extent to which this restoration project has been going is simply INCREDIBLE.
They got the D-1 master tapes. Then the hardware to read them. Then service manuals to repair/maintain. THEN, CRITICAL REPLACEMENT PARTS. And now they're ERROR CORRECTING.
