It's generational. His grandfather fled Canada because Canadian law wouldn't allow him to practice his racist politics. Moving to South Africa was a deliberate choice. Also, his grandfather was a member of the Technocracy party, that wanted to dominate the western hemisphere.

Frank Ghery died today at 96yo.
He was a genius and created some of the most unusual and beautiful buildings by bending metal. I feel lucky to have seen and explored the Guggenheim in Bilbao, Spain in 2018. The city was transformed to a world renoun destination of art.

Frank Ghery died today at 96yo.
He was a genius and created some of the most unusual and beautiful buildings by bending metal. I feel lucky to have seen and explored the Guggenheim in Bilbao, Spain in 2018. The city was transformed to a world renoun destination of art.

It's not the lightest ever made! Aerographene is a thing. But it's such a delight to touch a material like this Soramatex that you'd usually only find in labs. It's from a Nagoya University spinoff, Sora Materials.
