How many years do you think people should do it? Does growing up in the sunbelt satisfy my civic duty here?

Yeah, if you (as you seem to typically) assess your needs rationally, buy the truck that suits them, and use it as a truck, most people who aren't so pure that they also judge you for occasional air travel are chill?

It actually does double duty in the medium term; I think I'm not the only person to remember their own childhood and ask "do I want the world to have more experiences like that?" People who answer "yes" seem to want more kids.

As somebody who mostly went into tech because I honestly liked it, and graduated in '15, I saw this coming up behind me and distinctly felt like I was running away from a tsunami.

It's low-key the most fun I've ever had in turn-based combat, like, in any system.

I think their imagined audience is "well-meaning young adult who has probably heard the phrase 'dungeons and dragons' but would not connect it to the phrase 'tabletop roleplaying game'".

Having watched the Magpie community around the development of this game, the sheer unfamiliarity of their backers probably backed them into a corner a little bit. There were months where their discord was full of people who weren't sure whether it was a video game.

As I wrote on Twitter, in a normal sane world I would be a liberal Republican. We would do the thing where fun of me for being a heartless bean-counter and I make fun of you all for not understanding incentives and math, but instead I'm going to vote Blue until I die and also I now support unions.

Fwiw, you are the human who adds the most to my feed and I'm glad you're here. Like, take care of yourself, but if that's a data point, take it.
