Could always go back to Harvest Moon 64/Back to Nature to see where most of the foundation of this genre came from. The SNES Harvest Moon was much more strict and game-like.

There's more gundam manga than gundam in any other medium, and Gundam Ace magazine's been in print for 30 (35?) years. If it needs to be in english, then Thunderbolt's pretty good.

The part that confuses me is why the game will have no "player-facing" content made by generative AI, but for several years they've been making Deadhaus Sonata radio plays on their youtube channel with generative AI graphics. What's the difference Dyack?

zomboid will remain in EA until it is a complete simulation of the real world. That's the only way to become a perfect zombie simulation.

They both crossed over with Transformers already. I don't think this is a problem for either of these toy franchises.
