here's the first magic bindle i made, to work for my heart health. it has secret pouches containing a st. peregrine/ mater dolorosa chaplet & a small litany. it lives under my bedpillow. deets in alt text.

right: black felt pocket embroidered with hawthorn a.k.a. crataegus (contains handmade peregrine-dolorosa chaplet).
top: black felt panel with red felt heart applique & silver dove milagro, flying down.
base: black felt panel with white wings applique & red-silver anatomical heart milagro.
all are stitched to white sacking, with a red outer layer, roughly blanket stitched together with silver thread (dmc: accept no substitutes!).
the whole thing folds up & is tied with a thin black ribbon, slips under my pillow so it can do the praying for me, without ceasing.

a bedroll is kind of a bindle. if you wrap your lunch in a cloth, that's kind of a bindle too. forensic ppl & street clockers might keep evidence & wares in folded papers, also called bindles.

nice lil word 4 handy lil thing/s.

when i was a street urchin i carried a bindle made of my flannel shirt, containing 2 extra blouses, toothbrush, hairbrush, mascara, stolen bible, sci fi anthology.

i made a little robot.

reproduced in felt & embroidery floss, stuffed with wool. a pinned-together wip photo with orange thread & silver shears, + the finished product photo (puffy). the blanket stitching makes the robot's head look a little like a ravioli.

they're supposed to have a red t-shaped antenna but i couldn't figure out how to reproduce that so i skipped it.

in the game notes, this character is called Hugbot. but our household 3yo calls them Robot Friend & is the one doing the hugging.
