So:

-KAG released;
-Grand jury tells Trump's DOJ to pound sand in 3rd Tish James indictment; and
-Majority of GOP senators in Indiana reject Trump's extreme gerrymander.

That's quite a day.

The thing is, *if* Dems show up to vote like they have been in Virginia, New Jersey, and special elections this year, it'll partially neutralize neutralize the Texas gerrymander -- and the rest of it will be more than offset by the redraws in California and maybe Virginia.

I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of ketchup bottles suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced.

Seems like a bunch of the GOP senators got tired of the threats and wanted to deliver a clear "f*** off* message to Trump and his goons.
December 11, 2025 at 10:18 PM
That's not just a loss for Trump. 21 of the 40 R senators joined the 10 D senators to vote against the new map. Looks like the threats by Trump & his goons backfired bigly.

Threaten people enough & eventually even some of the ones who might've been persuadable will dig in & tell you to f*** off.

On the same day yet another grand jury tells his DOJ to get the f*** out with this Letitia James nonsense.

Looks like all the threats by Trump and his goons backfired massively.

If you threaten and abuse people enough, sooner or later even some of the ones who might've otherwise been persuadable will dig in and tell you to f*** off.

Jeez, that dude is only 44? I'm nearly a decade older and I look way better than him. And much less evil.

I didn't have "grand juries stand as a bulwark against Trump's corrupt tyranny" on my 2025 Bingo card, but here we are.

Lots of folks suddenly realizing, "Oh, so THAT'S why the Founders put that in the Bill of Rights..."

...you embarrassed the administration with your mendacious stupidity.

In any administration that values competence even a little bit and has an ounce of self-awareness and shame, you just don't come back from this. Forced resignation within 24 hours.

In any remotely normal administration, this would be a career-ender for a Cabinet secretary. You deported a decorated American combat veteran, then either lied to Congress about it or were too dumb to know your agency had done it (and this was no secret -- this guy has been in the news), and...

And if Indiana GOP legislators don't hold firm, they don't get to complain if and when a future Dem president threatens to cut off federal funding if they don't repeal their draconian restrictions on reproductive health care and adopt stricter gun control laws and environmental regulations.

Here's an even deeper cut -- Dwight Eisenhower. George is talking about a woman he's dating and says, "We have no need to speak. We communicate with deep soulful looks." And Jerry responds, "Like Dwight and Mamie Eisenhower."

Also Ronald Reagan, when Jerry's dad's rival on the condo board...

Teddy Roosevelt, when Elaine is flirting with Crazy Joe Davola, he says she looks familiar, and she says it's because her face is on Mount Rushmore:

"I replaced Teddy Roosevelt....Trustbuster. Bust this."
