Went to see the folks today and when I left little owl was sitting outside the box! My hands were full and they hopped into the box once I started squealing (quietly, kind of) so I didn’t get a great picture.. but it was the first time I saw the whole tiny bird! I’m smitten.
Part of a wall and rafters of a carport. There’s a big zapper to the right and some sun and chili decorative items on the wall and in the rafters on the left there’s an owl box. Just to the right of the box is a western screech owl and they’re a perfect egg shape. They’re not in super good focus because my hands were full and I only had a few seconds to take the picture.
