Yay I finally collected a Dario Argento movie in Duolingo

River Mole River Watch does some amazing citizen science and reporting on what is going on with our local river and seriously this is horrendous

And we're still in January! Yes, it's been wet (around 2x the average January rainfall) — but not that wet. This explains the very high E. coli levels we're seeing in river tests - and why the advice not to drive through river flood water matters more. Right now, any flood water from the river isn't just rain — it contains raw sewage. If you drive through it you risk spraying sewage-contaminated water into your car and over pedestrians ... slow down, take care.

Wowsers. 6 years ago - my last pre pandemic trip. All the corporate men fighting to get off the plane first at Billund first was a sight of manly wonder. I think I was one of three women on the flight.
A little Viking green man on a traffic light telling me it’s safe to cross in Arhus Denmark. Nice morning log hut. A very placid street. Arhus mornings were very very low key.

Today I shall mostly be reading trashy vampire fiction from the 70s/80s. Slightly terrified that Saint Germain (the continuing saga of a Dark Prince of Love!) looks vaguely like Kier Starmer.

Fab article as ever from ESC Insight but my goodness that infuriating and disingenuous comment from Martin Green that maybe some people are concerned about admitting they’re a Eurovision fan.

Detaching from Eurovision means far too much fixation energy manifesting in odd ways. Case in point buying a vinyl sticker from eBay to make our car more rattus

Christmas decks are down but the Hallgrimskirkja tea light holder is staying up

For Christmas I got kiddo a signed Stranglers setlist from the Leeds gig we were at in October and still basking in 1. what a fab present it was and 2. what a crazy fun set they played.

I love that White Stallion always gets trotted out.

My lucky lemon pig was nearly compromised because I thought I was reaching for cloves but it was ground cloves so now I am going to sleep with very fragrant dabs. However his eyes are 💯
