Ah RIP Udo Kier. My favourite actor, probably the most beautiful man ever, always fascinating, and absolutely hilarious. Photo from ‘an evening with’ in Toronto years ago (where Barbara Steele was an enigmatic presence in the dark at the back of the theatre - such a fun eve)

Panic. Just got given someone else’s Uniqlo coat leaving the hairdresser. They had NOTHING in their pockets?? Makes me realise my pocket contents far more exotic: Roncesvalles BIA business card, Italian tissues from Ireland, Canadian lip balm, a conker. Trident gum wrapper.

It’s fascinating the way society is determined to pretend the lockdown era never happened and just glides past all the reminders.
I've been collecting pandemic era signs that nobody can be bothered to take down or remove. There's something grimly fascinating about this. Putting them up was urgent and important; removing them is nobody's job. How long will some of these hang around?
