A little snippet about my book ratings. 😉
Contains information about my book ratings: Five stars: Author owns a piece of my soul, I'm likely staring into the void contemplating my own existence. Four Stares: I had a great time, felt the feels, and will definitely re-read/continue the series. Three Stars: Good story bones, I enjoyed it, but there's likely plot holes, lack of character depth, and/or editing issues. Two Stars: I'm probably debating why I even finished this book. There's probably a character I liked that helped me continue. One Star: Someone should've warned me about how bad this book is. Seriously, I want compensation. 🤣

3.5 ⭐ Standard Romantasy w/ Indian & Persian influences. Pacing is a 🤏🏻 choppy, characters are fun but need more depth & relationship development. Anachronistic speech was jarring (Prince-splaining, resting b*tch face, etc). World-building was shallow, but I liked it & will read the sequel. #booksky

2.5 ⭐ It started out fun, great humor, w/ a little edge. The initial plot was pretty good, but once Ally & Josh got together, that's where the story sagged. Enter endless inner monologue, excessive explanations, & a secondary plot that didn't add anything to the story.

3.5 ⭐. A fun & much spicier read than Ali's other novels. Starts out a little awkward w/ casual sex first, emotional connection later. BDSM was decently done & palatable. Skirts a fine line of sex/relationships healing trauma, but the FMC is in therapy. The 3rd act break up felt pretty contrived.
