One of my MAGA colleagues thinks it's great that Trump starts his day thinking up and posting trolling posts. "What can I do to make their heads explode?" That's where we are.

Based on Tesla's Cybertruck insurance woes, it's more likely your insurance will be canceled!
Not a great time to be an undercover asset overseas for the US. Your life insurance premiums are going up.

Any judge worth their robe should dismiss any such case sua sponte.
Trump just ordered Noem and Bondi to go after lawyers who dared sue him. Not for crimes. For “vexatious litigation.” This isn’t law and order. It’s state-sponsored retribution. And now every law firm in America is on notice.

Nerd pet peeve of the day coming from a chemical engineer: using the word "insoluble" for an unsolvable problem.

The Trump Economy, the Trump Stock Market, and the Trump Social Security and Medicare Policies are extending my working years. Lovely.

How do you say no immigrants please without saying it? "Looking for a current listing of available, highly recommended cleaning people. Need someone 2x a month.
Would prefer someone with good communication skills. Thanks." I'm embarrassed for them and their ilk.

Well, to start up with the times, I call it a "Lazy of America".
In other news, my brain couldn’t think of the word for “lazy Susan” and instead I said “rotating Sally” and so that is the new name for it, please update your records.

Now that the President has issued an RTO EO for government workers, it'll be interesting to see if my MAGA partners issue an RTO for our staff. Very interesting indeed.

And then I mentioned that Trump didn't go to Biden's inauguration. He had no idea! None! And other than being MAGA, my partner is intelligent!
Ignorance is not bliss. At lunch today one of my MAGA partners negatively commented on Michelle Obama not being at the inauguration. I said Trump has said evil things about her and Barak for a decade, so why should she go? He said that's not true, Trump had never said evil things about the Obamas.

SCOTUS upholds Tik-Tok ban. As part of the per curiam decision, we get this: "A determined foreign adversary may just seek to replace one lost surveillance application with another," Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote in his opinion.

Not "Cluster F"?
Most large galaxies have at their center a cluster of black holes, with a supermassive black hole (SBH) at the cluster’s core. The Milky Way’s SBH is called Sagittarius A*. At noon on Monday, our nation’s capital will have at its core a cluster of moral black holes that we should call Cluster B*.

Hmm. Does this change anything? Greenland has a nationalized health care system. Greenland’s health care system is publicly funded. All residents are entitled to free health care services, which include general medical care, hospital treatments, and specialist services.

So, did de facto president-unelect Musk and de jure president-elect Trump get owned last night?

Yep, every now and then you have to clear out the refrigerator.
Today's burrito: Meatloaf with barbecue sauce, peanut butter (smooth), cranberry preserves with walnuts and cherries, dill pickle slice, provolone cheese.

I follow the Janis Rule: subtract your age from 100. If you read that number of pages and the book hasn't grabbed you, move on to the next book.
You’re not violating a reading rule if you opt not to finish a book that's not resonating with you. Life is finite and we thus have a finite number of books to read. Reading shouldn’t be a chore. You needn’t feel guilty for ensuring that your time reading is spent reading things that you love.
