I've been nostalgic and rewatching old "Let's Play"-type videos from 2010-2015 and it's jarring how the big studios went from driving innovation and spectacle to pumping out dull sequels, remakes, and trend-chasing.

My copy would often crap out at the beginning of Volume 2 on disc 1, during the "Oath Of Allegiance". Some DVD players would handle it fine, some would totally scramble the video.

My parents complain about their grandchildren being glued to phones, and yet they spend as much if not more time doing the exact same thing.

Exactly, and I don't know who they're for but it sure ain't me. I'm catching the bus to the cinema and smuggling in Snickers bars to watch weirdo horror movies, I'm not going out and buying a brand new Renault straight afterwards.

It's a world that I actually like just being in. Driving to destinations rather than using fast travel, walking the streets and markets. I hope in the sequel they really flesh out how much you can interact with the city and get truly immersed in it.
