It isn't. But with more batteries it will serve more hours. The juice here is the tender requirement of 0,5 MW / 3 MWh battery per MW solar. The Masdar 24/7-project has x3.65 storage/solar.

I wonder if not more markets soon would see both ICE&PHEV fall off. More will have friends&family driving EVs, purchase price parity approaching and operating expenses much lower. Then add fear of buying a stranded asset on top of that. When it happens, it could be fast.
