We report: it is a little less hot, for a shorter amount of time, but when the sun is out, it is out. We left our sunglasses in our other jacket - subconsciously, we must have thought autumn meant no sun. We are left helplessly squinting for our trouble. It is a bright day.

I suspect that watching this scene come to life in Peter Jackson's movie adaptation of THE RETURN OF THE KING was as thrilling for me as any fan of THE LORD OF THE RINGS. 1/5

With an arm draped over his shoulder, Samwise Gamgee props up an exhausted Frodo. The barefooted hobbits take refuge on a rock surrounded by burning orange lava flows. Sam cranes his neck, searching the skies in desperation as their shrinking island is about to be consumed. Dangling from a chain, Galadriel's gift flares in a brilliant starburst over Sam’s chest. The sun seems to be struggling to gain foothold burning through layers of despair as a patch of blue suddenly opens in the roiling gray skies over Mordor. Behind them, a trio of huge white eagles soar down at the last moment, swooping in with wings bathed in warm light and spread wide to glide over thermals of curling steam.

I sketch more on paper recently, which is super refreshing, but my skills are still too poor and my pixelart-time got hurt. I'll probably upload some pixelart sketches from last few weeks very soon, and then focus on new stuff, slowly.

We report: it is raining movie rain tonight, like a giant watering can is following us around. We breathe with care, lest we inhale water in the process. We have tucked our hands into our sleeves, to no avail - soon, we get the distinct feeling of being completely drenched.

We report in the midst of the frantic agitation of early morning: it was already raining, we were already late, we had already forgotten our keys. We did not need the sun to make a bold statement to have us more frazzled. The rain stops for a brief moment, also distracted.
