A rural funeral home posted an online obit in Spanish. In all my years of seeing local death notices it’s the first I’ve seen in Spanish. Good on them, I know they want to reach their people, I just hope it doesn’t unwittingly invite unwanted federal thugs. Rest in peace, Senora.

Welp, that’ll teach me to wait to plan holiday dinner. No standing rib roasts to be found. At any price. Cannot pin down a reason, does make me wonder. There are alternatives.

I sincerely believe that cats instinctively know the best route to take to get/stay in the way of whatever it is you are trying to do. Even if you are feeding them. Especially if you are feeding them.

Please meet Tulugaak, a figure I got from, no shit, the corner drug store. I gave him the Inuit name for “creator of light” or “raven.” I am totally charmed….

I should not be laughing at this. A drone illegally dropped drugs and food items into a high security prison yesterday. The food items included steak, crab legs, and of course OLD BAY SEASONING because what’s a good prison b crab leg dinner without Old Bay?!?

Was singing Supertramp all morning ending with my favorite “the Logical Song.” Towards the end the singer bemoans that life is too d-d-d-d-digital. This was in 1979! How prescient!

These restaurant quality control gimmicks are not working. If MM checked this order and passed it, why didn’t they notice it wasn’t mine? I hope Robin C enjoyed my dinner.

T-R-I-C-K-Y MOU se. so Carnage is showing his true colors. I don’t want to hear anything about Canadian efforts to cut carbon output.

I do not like the term instant classic. A classic is something that has stood the test of time, that is not compatible with “instant “ no matter how badly the marketers want it to be true

Tried to show a friend the tube video of Neil Peart playing the “Hockey Night in Canada” theme and it started with an AI music ad. It made me incredibly sad.

Ok so a week ago I ordered some lovely holiday cards (from two time zones away) and some stamps with which to post them. The cards came three days ago. I have yet to see the stamps. What is it they do there? Oh yeah, deliver for me. Or not.

Apparently we’ve learned nothing about exposing kids to normal amounts of the pathogens of life. Now they have sanitary furniture. Despite a bevy of time-saving devices, we seem hell bent on being slaves to our own homes.

Happy birthday Margaret Atwood.

Listening to some ladies at the store talk about how they’re going to spend “Trump’s $2000 check” reminds me of the way people laughed about how they were going to spend the $1000 Bill Gates “promised” them in a chain email.

I like Klaatu’s song “Calling occupants…” and a coworker once told me it was a silly song to talk/sing to the sky and expect a result. It was a Wednesday so I asked her, “so, you going to church tonite to talk and sing to the sky?” She was not amused.

Later Oilers. If you’re not going to try to win I’m not going to try to be a good fan.

As I listen to yet another presentation of the essence of the Vinyl Cafe, it never fails, even in these days of knee-deep evil, to remind me of how much kindness, humility, and innocence is still alive in humanity.

Imagine being the proud parent of a supreme court justice and bragging to you friends, “my Johnny ruled to starve American children, the handicapped, veterans, and the elderly. So proud……”

Was outside enjoying the warm day and marveled at the pretty white fluff floating about. Stopped marveling when I realized it was feathers from the chicken processing plant a few blocks away……

I hope Nancy Mace gets some psychiatric help for that chip on her shoulder. She publicly berated airport employees for a scheduling/pickup issue then jumped into Sen. Tim Scott’s grill because they wouldn’t have treated HIM like that like wtf lady because of you some of them aren’t getting paid.

A Tuvan musician from Siberia was asked (through an interpreter) whether his group’s style of music could be called “throat singing “ “that’s silly “ he replied, “everyone sings with their throat.”
