My major contribution was building a Linux from scratch image that ran our monitoring system they were building for the buses. (That spelling just doesn’t look right to me)

It was 16M and had some requested dev tools installed.

Some years ago, I saw that the head programmer was now a senior software dev at SpaceX. I saw him in an interview talking about code adjusting for a single engine failing during launch.

I was so happy for him to be finally doing the thing.

In 2001, I moved out to my first apartment down in San Diego at a company called ISE Research that made electric, hybrid and fuel cell busses. (They didn’t like me spelling it like that)

ISE was International Space Enterprises, and had been initially working on a moon rover.

This was the third launch I saw from my back yard. The rocket clears the neighbor’s roof after a minute right about MaxQ.

It’s a match in the darkness.

I lost sight of it before MECO, I think that was from clouds.
