The more discnerable sound cues got (i.e., with stronger sound lateralization), the influence of odorant-stimulation decreased.
Behaviorally, at central sound positions (= auditory cues maximally ambiguous), participants were more likely to categorize a sound as coming from the right with concurrent right-nostril stimulation, while the proportion of left-responses increased with left-nostril stimulation.

During (late) encoding & maintenance, the results seem in-line with the notion that α oscillations serve to gate information flow, allowing for the re-distribution of attentional resources between modalities depending on their task-relevance.

3/ Our goal: To investigate AV object storage, we aimed to resolve those issues. In a AV delayed-match-to-sample-paradigm, AV features were always presented at the same time & location, promoting automatic cross-modal binding. Importantly, the probe stimulus was always AV as well.
