Ok here's something neat to me. I picked coffee cherries from a tree in my side yard and pulped, fermented, dried, and roasted them. I learned that coffee is hard work.
A bucket full of cloudy water also holds freshly-picked coffee cherries, which resemble cranberries.

The browned butter-pear-cranberry-almond cake looks great and tastes delicious. I felt a little let down by the taste...but then I took a second piece and decided it is very good.

Cranberry sauce done! Now to make some white sauce that will go on the pumpkin lasagna rolls tomorrow.
An oval white dish holds freshly made cooked cranberry sauce. Most of the berrries broke down while cooking, but there are a few delightful chunks.

How my hobby is going:
About a half dozen 1-gallon black nursery pots sit on the ground, each holding a recently repotted kupukupu fern. The ferns are long and slender, like a sword blade.The leaves stick out perpendicular to the stem, and are bright green with happiness.

Has anyone noticed that app buttons on the iPhone are starting to in-flatten? MyRadar, Yelp, and Bluesky all have brightness around the edges that makes them look a little 3-D:

Feeling creative...baking a Dragon Fruit Cake! Can you believe the all-natural color of the batter?
A cake round cake pan is ready to go into the oven. The pan itself is made of bright pink silicone. The batter is bright purpleish-pink because it has Dragon Fruit puree in it.
