Many things I heard during President Carter’s funeral profoundly touched me. These words, from a former member of his administration, resonated deeply in light of who will taking office Monday: “We told the truth, we obeyed the law, we kept the peace.”

We need positive forms of political opposition in the United States. The People's Cabinet would offer new ideas, new voices, and new forms of action.
