ICE just took one of my firm’s clients from the Cleveland County Courthouse. The 4 men were in plain clothes, none of the defense counsel knew who they were or had a heads up before this person was taken. He was there for a traffic violation. My female colleague: “I can’t fight 4 men at once” 😭

I just saw a Tiktok where it was suggested that we go back to Zoom hearings to keep ICE from picking up people in courtrooms and I am here for this energy

Current Bumble situation - app is only showing me men who live elsewhere but are visiting my geographic radius; only men requesting to match are men who aren’t even visiting my geographic radius but live more than a 6 hour drive away.

Anyone who thinks I am crazy for wanting their first/last name prior to meeting/dating them so I can run a cursory check on NC eCourts is wilding out there. It’s literally my job to look at court records and my safety is paramount to your ego.

The emotional labor I am out here doing for men on dating apps is unreal, not to mention my legal perspective on someone’s criminal history or cheating on one’s spouse. And I’m not even getting to the actual date, this is just on chat - no compensation in the form of dinner or drinks or otherwise 😂😭
