I've been thinking about how the past few years are the first time I have ever really felt wanted. I have been let down and rejected by people my entire life, and suddenly people want to include me.

Suddenly these amazing artists I admire want to be friends with little old me (sharp edges and all)

I generally tend to avoid any kind of alcohol as a gift just because I know a lot of people can't partake for a wide variety of reasons (age, religion, meds, sensitivities, etc.). But it's good to know there will be some kind of instructions. Instructions are good 😁

I'm a little calmer today after realizing that they're probably going to give me a list and a budget (though now I'm fretting over if they'll ask me for a list. 🤦‍♀️ Why is this holiday so dang stressful?).

If your job requires you to bend the knee to fascists, find another.

There's always a lot of squabbling among Leftists (some of which we don't allow people who aren't Leftists to see), but the one thing we tend to agree on is that we operate in a way that puts people, particularly workers, first.

This is why today, you see liberals more often than not, fold on issues like boycotts and AIPAC. I've lost count of how many political influencers have said "AIPAC money is a complicated issue. We still have to support the Democrats."

Profiting from the murder of literal children isn't complicated.

And of course now I'm full on panicking because I'm working at a really great place with really nice people who want to include me but I'm not used to that and I don't know what to do (I'm gonna mess it up and ruin someone's Christmas 😔)

And then the following year, I was told the party was for baristas only, not cashiers. Also, I was too sad (my Mom was in the hospital). That was the year my boss gave me the tree. Out of "the goodness of her heart." (Cont'd)

And I'm not saying I'm immune to propaganda. Even after reading all the Leftist and anarchist theory I have, it still catches me off guard sometimes. It's insidious how effective it is.
