The follow up to this is that this year I am so relieved to not have to watch the Rams or the Chiefs that I'm not even *that* invested in who wins. Obligatory rooting for the Seahawks bc I live in Washington and like them but mostly just happy to see teams that haven't played in the last five years
I am a lifelong eagles fan and even so the game I care more about today is the AFC championship. I am so tired of seeing and hearing about the chiefs and if I have to watch them in *another* superbowl I will scream

I've always thought that the whole "natural immunity is the best way to protect people" thing was a bit like saying "getting pregnant is the best form of birth control."

Telling people I majored in math in college usually gets one of two responses.
Either 1) gross, why? Math is boring (what am I supposed to say to that) or 2) oh cool, what kind of math did you learn? (No way to explain that in casual conversation so I end up sounding like I know nothing lol)

After being in nyc for 3 days my main takeaway is that new yorkers know nothing about how people in the pnw dress. I got sincerely complimented 2 separate times on objectively very basic/boring outfits (athleisure, then a flannel lmao) and I don't know what to make of that

I've had horrible experiences w/ birth control forms that ppl have had seamless experiences with & vice-versa. Anti-abortion movmts are trying to capitalize on the internet's inability to grasp nuance to brainwash younger women into happily giving up major rights; its part &parcel w/ trad content

It's getting worse! Someone pls tell the wellness grifters that there is a difference between pointing out that existing birth control options aren't perfect/we should demand better and demonizing the *concept* of it in the name of being "natural" or "balancing your hormones" whatever tf that means
