Agree we need to avoid defeatism, strongly disagree the definition of fascism is "already doomed." We have to act now BEFORE they consolidate power. If the definition of the label is "you can't use the label until it's illegal to use the label," it has no utility as a label.

If we were living under fascism, none of you would be here daring to post things. You'd be erasing your social media accounts and keeping your head down; you'd know that peacocking your faux-bravery on a network would expose you to being disappeared.

I strongly reject the idea that it's not fascism if it's happening to certain groups of people but not yet to me, especially when the government is taking more steps every day to apply those actions to me. Just because we're still in the early days of fascism doesn't mean it's not fascism.
