Irish 28yo woman

I'm a qualified nurse on year 2 of my career break, 3 months into the greatest van adventure of all time with my boyfriend in our big yellow Sprinter named Stevanie
This is a thread and I am hoping to find people in the #ActuallyAutistic , #AskingAutistics and #Autism communities. I am a 28 year old nurse who after attending counselling for burnout post pandemic was told that I was "probably" autistic. I haven't had a formal diagnosis and now I am struggling.

So cool to visit Aljustrel Mine, which was established in Roman times, working right up to today. It is found along the Pyrite belt of the Iberian Peninsula mining copper, iron, sulfer and zinc.

Not something I've ever seen before, a halo around the moon last night in Aljustrel, Portugal. Caused by the ice crystals in the Cirrus clouds acting like a camera lense for the moon!

Really lovely mindful walk along the Passadiços de Santa Comba Dão. The sound of the running water really helps to put me back in the now rather than the "what if" #mindfulness #vanlife

So excited to hear that #TheMaryWallopers will be doing a Christmas Day livestream. If anyone sees this post give them a listen! My favourite is "The Night The Guards Raided Owenys"

After listening to @blindboyboatclub.bsky.social episode, A thorough meditation about Sparkling Water, it was really cool to be able to taste hot, carbonated water here in the thermal town, Chaves. The Portuguese government even subsidises thermal treatments due to their known health benefits!

About to start our journey on the N2 scenic drive through Portugal the first stop has been Chaves, an ancient town, built on the River Tâmega, first settled in Paleolithic times and then established as a thermal spa town by the Romans

Finally getting my stitches out tomorrow. Genuinely don't have enough good things to say about the Spanish healthcare system, the most helpful and kind people I've met! Back on track at last!

The most amazing (but windy) view from Cabezo de las Cortinillas, Navarra, Spain.

Visited the Beaumont-Hamel Newfoundland Memorial

It was strange to be surrounded by such peace in a place that once was total carnage for the 29th Division Royal Newfoundland Regimen.

The Caribou crying out for home really leaves a lump in your throat

I think @katiehannon.bsky.social did a really good job there tonight, all things considered. She had her work cut out for her at times!

As a nurse I find it very disheartening that there was no designated time given to the discussion of the healthcare and disability sectors in either of the debates so far.

As someone who at this time cannot get onto the property ladder and struggled with affordability of food I understand (1)

Lookit, we just agreed it was urgent. We never said *we* were going to do anything. We’ll just really urgently ask other countries to solve the problem.

Watching my first ever Irish party leaders' debate. So far they've called each other murderers and child haters, so I'd say it's sufficiently dramatic.

Watching the Irish leaders debate on #rte very annoying to see FF and FG leaders being allowed to have their say but proceeding to talk over others as it is clear they don't hold them in any regard

If you are into WW2 history and get a chance to go to France I'd HIGHLY recommend the Overlord Museum. So many different types of artifacts and vehicles, some of the best mannequin recreation scenes and this simulation of an airborne attack. Very good experience!

We drove the Normandy coast and got the chance to see the landing beaches. Although amazing to see what happened 80 years ago can still catch in your throat
