This book is incredible & gives so much insight into Mary as arguably the most important & misunderstood apostle essentially. Could low key talk about this for hours there’s just so much to it & him appearing to her first is just the tip of the iceberg 😮‍💨

Mary Magdalene is a huge special interest for me &completely changed my understanding of the biblical story and how it’s been completely warped and bastardized by patriarchal forces. There’s an entire subculture of feminist exploration of her story & gospel (historically suppressed by men in power)

I generally don’t think the fandom uses the phrase Easter Eggs correctly anymore. An example of an Easter egg is the Lover logo & Dixie chicks picture in the Me! music video(1), or the Aimee purse she wore. Flagging is intentional nods to indicate you are queer (3). In some cases, they overlap (2).
