The surge in Moleiro’s numbers in the last 2 months (7G/A), comes down to his adaptation, esp. as the Villarreal context suits him, consistently being picked out btwn the line & no longer carries the ball in every action.

His best games at Las Palmas came when he operated centrally.

#Josema showed lots of personality in possesion yesterday which enabled #Atleti beat #SpartaPraha's man oriented press when they reacted to a pressing trigger (forced backward pass).

This was one of the positives yesterday, seeing #Atleti successfully beating a press on the right side.

I think Giuliano has brought the same level of energy to the team as Barrios did two seasons ago. He possesses that hunger, tenacity, and never-say-die attitude that embodies Atlético Madrid.

This team at the U21 Euros will be a cheat code.

It's amazing the talent pool Spain has at the moment (Yeremy, Guerra, Casado, Hugo Álvarez, Moleiro, Kike Salas etc) especially when comparing it to the era that coincided with the end of the Xavi, Iniesta, Alonso era.
🇪🇸 Spain: Alejandro Iturbe; Arnau Martínez, Pau Cubarsí, Dean Huijsen, Alejandro Balde; Pablo Barrios, Gavi; Lamine Yamal, Pedri, Nico Williams; Samu Aghehowa.

First post on here is, very predictably, about some niche football happening in Spain.

Wrote about Racing de Santander's historic start to this Segunda campaign, and how they've become odds-on favourites to make it back to LaLiga (after a long time away). www.lapausa.digital/p/racing-hav...

José Alberto's side look different to your typical league leader, but their unique identity is what's helping to sustain their position.

I guess I am going to start promoting my work here!

Antoine Griezmann is reportedly thinking about leaving Atlético Madrid in 2025. Compared to 2019, will Atleti be in a better position to handle his exit this time? www.intothecalderon.com/2024/11/17/2...

On March 1, 2009, I watched (on TV) Atlético beat Guardiola's Barça 4-3 at the Vicente Calderon. The way the Atlético fans cheered the team through the game won me over.
In the spirit of everyone being extremely welcoming and willing to chat on here and it being the middle of an international break, could I ask those following me to tell me how they got into supporting the clubs they do? Was it a parent? A relative? School friends? Something else?

Pablo Barrios, it is amazing how Atletico relies a lot on him be that guy to receive between the lines link up (connector) with others.

Plus he had a great time at the Olympics as a #6 & is now playing #8 B2B since returning from injury (had most shots in #Atleti's 2-0 defeat vs #LasPalmas)
