Fucking love the message here, "either one of two science fiction movie happens or Al does not affect growth in any way"
AI could end scarcity, end humanity - or boost trend growth by 0.2 percentage points

I mean, this is just bread right?

While I support a variety of beer styles, I can't get behind a variety of beer glasses. I have to learn to drink each time.

Bexhill Museum is very refreshing. Back to proper museums.

Variety of stuffed birds in odd poses? Check. Dinosaur bones? Check? Architecture models of local buildings? Check. Printed out info attached via pins to cork board? Check.

Train set belonging to Eddie Izzard? Double check.

Proper.

Rescue pigeon passed away this morning before the rehabbers could take them in. RIP, little trash dove 😔🐦🪦

Surprise pet🙀

Well, until the rescue can get back to us. Good thing I have raised a lot of birds in my time. Wish them luck—just a tween in bird years.

Many thanks to the kind clerk who looked after them after they were blown out of their nest into the road.

Built a bookcase today.

Admittedly, smaller than what most people need for their books.

Okay, so the Rolife kit does not mess about.

No let's ease you in connecting some big parts together. It's all "Step 1 - apply the tiny book sticker to the tiny book".

I won't criticise GW and their multi part legs after this.

In a change from GW and plastic, I'm starting a Rolife kit.

I've seen these advertised and given them as gifts many times but I've had this bookshop sat on my shelf for a good while.

Since it's raining it's a good time to start.

I'm pleased to reveal the new logo of Obscure Owl Press.

Red is rarely a color that I use in layouts so this will stand out on future OOP publications.

Many thanks to Gel on Fiverr for their design here.

Look out for this mark of quality weirdness on zines, books and pamphlets near you soon.

I've just finished the Season 1 ending of the Key of Dreams - an interactive, Lovecraft experience here in Wales.

Absolutely brilliant production once again and I'd thoroughly encourage anyone interested in theatre, interactive experience or puzzles to attend.

Nature is healing - a mere £3.30 for a pint here in Newport.

Munich in four drinks.

Surprising no one, they are all beer.
June 28, 2025 at 9:16 PM
Never have I had a breakfast that looks both so healthy and unhealthy at the same time than this in Munich.

Yes fruit but also mainly bread. Thin meat but also lots of cheese.

Surely this is a sign of the End Times, the collapse of civilisation, the end of modernity and a reversion to barbarity.

£8.20 for a pint at Sam Smiths.

I mean, it tastes fine. Just not £8.20 fine.

Absolutely love the presentation here of the welcome pack from the Scottish Malt Whisky Society. They even sent a tiny little badge with the bottle.

I'm absolutely in awe of this soldier's face at the Hyde Park Corner underground's Waterloo mural.

Moisturised, unbothered, just living in the moment while in the firing line.

I am once again amazed that animals like to interact with us.

Beautiful pub cat in the beer garden of an 'unreconstructed pub' - no ale, only lager.

Or this one in Palo Alto. They even got the outside better than here in England.

My new favourite thing is finding English pubs overseas, just like this one in Helsinki.

England's main exports are pubs and Warhammer.
May 29, 2025 at 11:03 AM
Brilliant couple of days in Helsinki. Very heavy on the sauna and herring.
May 26, 2025 at 6:24 PM
Liquorice ice cream in Helsinki - it's an acquired taste but surprisingly sweet.

An actual mild. In this economy, amazing.

In the beautiful Cock Tavern for the Weird Writers. However 5.50 for the Sam Smith's larger is a bit steep.
