I pretend to be a game developer, geologist and writer.

Studying #geology at #Birkbeck University.

Chunky gypsum crystals near Alicante, Spain. A fascinating area where Triassic sands have been thrust up through younger Cretaceous limestone and overlain by Miocene lacustrine muds. All run through with gypsum veins and evaporites. #geology

Having dabbled in a bunch of random engines, Unity and Unreal Engine, I find Godot to be the most logical and quickest to work with.

Plus it's free, open source, loads projects in seconds and is suitable for all sorts of things not just games.

Lots of fun little critters. Foraminifera, algae and bryozoa found in a reef from the early Eocene (~50 million years ago). #thinsectionthursday
